French philosophers in the correspondence of S.L. Frank to N.A. Berdyaev and L. Binswanger (Paris, March, 1938)
Abstract
In the article three letters from the correspondence of the Russian religious philosophers S.L. Frank and N.A. Berdyaev from March, 1938 are published. Excerpts from Frank’s letters to the Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist L. Binswanger are also given. These materials are devoted to the period when Frank stayed in Paris and intensively interacted with many leading French philosophers aiming to get a scholarship from the French National Fund for Scientific Research. They contribute to our general understanding of the context of the Russian-European dialogue between the thinkers in pre-war Europe.
