A Critical Approach to Defining Discourse
Abstract
The history of emigration from the former Russian Empire in interwar Czechoslovakia became a frequently studied phenomenon after 1990. At the same time, it should be noted that until now, the most authors in their works have focused primarily on collecting factual data about the life and activities of individual representatives of emigration or about the "Russian action of help" as a whole. Only a small number of publications are devoted to a deeper analysis of the scientific discourse itself and its significance. Over time there has been a refinement of some data and ideas about the Russian emigration. A new phase in the study of the Russian Diaspora is beginning, in the context of which it would be necessary to critically evaluate the scientific contribution of its individual representatives. However, this phase should already take place not within the entire discourse of Russian interwar emigration, but in the context of individual specialties.
