Abstract

  1. K. Kantor adheres to the idea of need to demythologize Russian culture and return true meaning and significance to its phenomena. Such a procedure (as it shown in a new book) promotes the acquisition of that quality A. S. Pushkin called “self-Standing” (samostoyanie) of Russian bearer of culture and the culture in general. In this vein the discussions are underway about a creative input of the following “Russian Europeans” as Peter I, A. S. Pushkin, P. Ya. Chaadaev, F. M. Dostoevsky, V. S. Solovyov, F. A. Stepun and others to Russian native history and thought.
