Abstract

The article contains the experience of reading sculptural forms by the easel artist Lazar Gadaev as art texts, which have the right to be not only the subject of art criticism analysis, but also an area of interdisciplinary projectivity as an activity capable of integrating knowledge about the integrity of a person, the idea and experience of his artistic embodiment. The discussion in the Sculptor's Workshop about the artistic image and memory of art in the context of culture allowed us to formulate a thesis about the vitality of movement in sculpture. Gadaev fi nds ways to express his idea by combining thought image and work with bronze as a material; he creates works where the artistic experience of the sculptor literally animates the static of sculptural forms, giving them vitality through movement. “Embracing the sculpture with the eye”, the viewer grasps the impulse laid down by the author in his work and understands it, experiencing his own feelings and experiences. This process forms the basis of the existence of art.
