Social Relations as the Subject of the Artist’s Creativity
Abstract
A piece of art, being a reflection on what has been experienced as deeply meaningful, is in fact the Artist's appeal to his contemporaries and future generations. The author’s self-expression works to a greater or lesser extent to constitute social ties. The range of plots from everyday life, typical for Lazar Gadaev’s works and his artistic manner, is open to the interpretations of very different people, and thus indirectly contributes to public dialogue, social integration. A large-scale exchange of opinions and interpretations actualizes, among other subjects, the topic of contextuality, historical relativity of the views of specifi c social actors. The Artist’s honesty to himself serves as a clue to semantic landmarks, including cases when the theme of relativity is elevated to the status of a political argument in the public space.
