Most of the notes in the notebook are related to the writer’s work on the novels “Crime and Punishment” and “The Idiot”, however, some fragments are not directly related to these plans. In the analyzed entry, Dostoevsky mentions a certain article from the newspaper “The Russian Invalid” devoted to Austria. The article expresses and argues the assumption according to which it is one of many materials devoted to Ruthenians and attempts of their forced polonization.
