Abstract

An amazing and very close world of the Byzantine heritage of the Venetian Republic opens before the Russian reader in the books of R. D’Antiga. The Italian scientist sets out the foundations of the Eastern Christian relics. The theological interpretation of this cult, which is quite traditional for Eastern spirituality, is undoubtedly the author’s merit. The publication of this remarkable book by the famous Padua professor in Russian speaks of the demand for works devoted to the geography of Byzantine shrines in Italy.
